The work behind clean clothes
The washing and ironing collection includes implements for looking after clothes, supplemented by art. This gives an everyday task its own place in the museum. Note the difference between a tool and a picture: one shows a means, the other a depiction of the work.

A visit with attention to access
Regular opening is on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Groups of eight or more can book a guided tour by appointment, including outside those hours. The museum is not fully wheelchair accessible; video panels are mentioned as an alternative way of viewing the collections. Discuss in advance what is accessible for you.
