Six lives side by side
The Memorial describes a multimedia wall where you can follow the stories of six Polish soldiers using headphones. Their journeys between 1939 and 1945 are covered, as well as their lives after the war. Choose one story first and then listen to another. What differences do you notice? This way you can compare for yourself how a shared history is made up of individual lives.
Breda then and now
On the interactive map, the museum brings together images from 1944 with images of today and explanations of the events in those places. Choose a location you know, or one that makes you curious. Try comparing the two images yourself before reading the explanation. What do you still recognise, and where do you need to look more closely?
A uniform is also a personal item
The museum names General Maczek’s original uniform as one of the items in its collection. Look at it as clothing that belonged to someone, before paying attention to rank or military significance. Which detail would you like to put to a guide? A concrete question like that gives the name on the façade a more personal point of connection.
