A world in miniature
Older descriptions mention dolls’ houses and miniatures, including a beguine’s cottage, a peat barge and the Speelhuis of Prince Maurits. An Art Deco canal house by Marjan Drukker and an Anton Pieck room are also mentioned. These are descriptions of what used to be on display, not objects you can go and see here now.
The name keeps cropping up
Because of the museum’s name and former address, an old visitor page may still give the impression that there is an exhibition to visit. The distinction between a description of the collection and current access is essential here: no reopening has been announced.
Do not plan a museum stop
Use Catharinastraat 23 only as a reference to the former premises. The information available gives no confirmed new visiting venue for the collection. A visit to other parts of the Begijnhof should therefore be planned separately from this closed museum.
