The region as a starting point
Finds and information make up what is described. This means you can begin a visit with material from the area and then see what explanation the display gives. If you have a specific interest, such as the Roman period, you can ask about it on arrival.
Telling two addresses apart
The centre is part of the Museum Ceuclum organisation, but it is not the museum tower. That stands at Castellum 1 and has a different schedule. For this visit use Maasstraat 17; if you want to see both venues, compare the opening times of each.
The season sets the hours
In the winter season the centre opens later and Saturday is not included as a visiting day. The venue may also close in extreme heat: the organisation names a limit of 35 degrees. On public holidays and in hot weather, check the announcements before you set off.
