Finds with explanations
The permanent display emphasises prehistory and the Roman period. Panels, photos and drawings help to put the archaeological pieces in context. Look at the combination in particular: an object shows material and form, while the explanation makes clear which story the museum tells with it.
A building to take into account
The tower is part of the visit and offers views of the Meuse and the landscape. At the same time, its layout brings accessibility restrictions. Ask in advance which parts can be reached if stairs are difficult, so you know what the visit can include for you.
A seasonal schedule of its own
The museum tower has different hours from the Archeologisch Centrum on the Maasstraat. In winter, fewer days are available as well. At temperatures of 35 degrees or more, the heat protocol means closure; public holidays may also differ. Take these exceptions into account for a combined visit.
