Following a process
Start with the question of which steps are needed to make leather. The leather route helps you put individual tools and terms in order. Use the audio guide or QR explanations where they help you, without having to follow every part at the same pace.
The building as part of the story
Also look at how the presentation is housed in the former tannery. A working building raises different questions from an ordinary exhibition gallery. Workshops offer an additional way in, but check in advance whether and when you can take part.
An afternoon in Dongen
Regular opening is on Wednesday to Sunday afternoons. There is a lift and an accessible toilet, but mobility scooters are not allowed inside. If necessary, ask about the wheelchair or rollator available on loan and the size of the lift.
Before you go
Check for public holiday changes and workshop arrangements. According to the museum’s directions, preferably park on the Hertog Janstraat.
