Movement as explanation
A running machine shows different things from a stationary one. Follow how motion passes from one part to the next and ask volunteers to explain. Keep your distance and follow instructions near hot or moving parts.
Interesting when still, too
Outside running days the machines stand still. That is when you can focus on form, construction and the differences between them. Old textbooks and murals add other elements to the setting, but ask in advance which parts are accessible during an appointment.
Choosing the right day
There is no weekly museum schedule. The calendar lists individual running days, including 26 September 2026. Check that date again before you set off. If you come by car, park in a permitted spot in the surrounding streets; keep bends and pavements clear.
