Start with the letters
See how individual letters or other type become part of a print. Ask which steps are needed before the press can run. That way the final printed item gains a history of how it was made, rather than just a function for reading.
Comparing presses
The collection includes various antique printing presses, among them a wooden press. Note the size, operation and the work a printer carries out with them. Ask which machines are being demonstrated during your visit; not every machine is necessarily running all the time.
Room for explanation
Do not arrive just before closing: last admission is earlier than the end of the afternoon. The usual opening is Tuesday to Friday and on the first Sunday of the month. Groups arrange a visit in advance; the Museumkaart (Dutch museum pass) is not valid.

Arrive by 15.45 at the latest for the usual afternoon opening and check the Sunday date.
