Seeing the castle
The castle’s regular public opening is on Sunday afternoons. Take your time in the rooms that are open to the public and ask what information is available. In the summer period there are temporarily more visiting days.
Art upstairs
Changing exhibitions are held on the first floor. These may have their own additional opening times. So check which exhibition is on and which hours apply to it. The exhibition rooms are wheelchair accessible; ask about other parts of the building if you want to see those too.
Including the grounds
The garden, castle farm and children’s farm offer further options on the estate. Catering and events follow their own arrangements. So plan a combination part by part and bear in mind the castle’s special closures during the year.
