Check beforehand which exhibition is on. Art by local makers calls for a different way of looking than a display about the history of the area. That very variety can be a reason to come back later.
Textiles as a link
The history of weaving is one of the subjects covered in exhibitions. Ask which display is available at the time; an earlier exhibition title does not mean it can still be seen. Use the current explanations to distinguish between art and historical information.
Preparing a weekend visit
The usual visiting hours are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Between exhibitions or during a holiday period the museum may close temporarily. Also check the current admission price: an earlier period of free opening does not necessarily still apply.
