Keeping the periods apart
The Stone Age, the Roman period and the Middle Ages lie far apart. So start with the explanation of how the collection is arranged. That way you avoid automatically taking objects shown side by side to be contemporaries.
Find and interpretation
See what is stated with a find about its origin and dating. An object sometimes raises more questions than it directly answers. On an open day, ask which features help you understand it and where uncertainty remains.
Announced days only
The museum has no fixed weekly public schedule. The calendar lists individual open days; a monthly pattern mentioned earlier is no guarantee. Check the next date and time directly. Admission is free, with the option of a voluntary contribution.
Before you go
Check the current open day; 27 September 2026 has been announced, but confirm the hours before you set off.
