Monument and defence
The Airborne Monument and the story of the Peel-Raamstelling (Peel-Raam defence line) broaden the subject. During a visit, ask how the various elements differ from one another in time and function. That way, remembrance and military structure remain recognisable as different ways of looking at the past.
Open on confirmed occasions
A fixed weekend timetable is not guaranteed. Opening is indicated by flags and announced dates; an appointment is also possible. The casemates are not suitable for wheelchairs. For a special trip, check the specific opening, not just an old seasonal pattern.
