Interiors in focus
Tapestries in the salons and a bedroom interior are among the elements of the route. Take the time to listen to how the guide explains their place in the building. A historic interior can show more than one period or phase of use.
Special spaces
The part referred to as the Roman bath is also covered on the tour. Ask about the meaning of that name and its context within the castle. That way, you avoid a name becoming a historical conclusion in itself.
Be there for the start
In season, the public guided tours are on Wednesday and Sunday, with fixed start times. Outside the season, appointments are needed. Allow about 75 minutes and ask about accessibility in advance; in a historic building, not every route is feasible for everyone.
Before you go
Check the start time and conditions of participation. Without a guided tour there is no free access to the castle.
