With farm machinery and hand tools, it helps to understand the task involved. Read what explanation is given about manual labour and horse power before focusing only on the size of an object.
Within the household
Textiles and household goods are on a different scale from the large farm equipment. Compare how the display places work inside and outside the home side by side.
To the fire brigade section
The fire brigade exhibition is in a separate single-level building. Check which parts of the grounds and buildings are open if you want to plan your visit with a limited route.
Before you go
The regular timetable applies from April to October; outside the season, guided tours are available on request. There is a stairlift, but discuss the usable route in advance.
