A changed purpose
The former museum was lost in a fire. The current website emphasises farm produce and the story of Grutje, without offering a new permanent museum route.
The story behind the name
The name remains linked to the woman who formerly lived there and to the earlier initiative. This gives context to the present site, but does not guarantee any preserved interior or collection that visitors can see.
Planning a shop visit
If you are going to Groot Loo, plan on the basis of what the shop currently offers. Ask separately whether an explanation or activity is available if you are coming specifically for the heritage story.
Before you go
There is no current museum timetable. The Friday and Saturday hours apply to the farm shop; old reports of the museum returning are not a confirmed reopening.
