A life-size animal
The mounted European bison is a striking starting point. Look at the animal’s proportions and read the accompanying explanation. What do you see straight away, and what do you need more information for? That way looking becomes a reason to ask questions.
Minerals in a new light
In the geology section you can see minerals that fluoresce under UV light. This offers a different way of observing than just looking at shape or surface. Mammoth molars add fossils to this part of the visit; take time to study them separately.
A wide-ranging collection
Archaeology and ethnology broaden the route. For each object, read what provenance and context of use are stated, so that different stories do not get mixed up. For children there is a trail that can help them look in a focused way.

The museum has several floors. If you have limited mobility, ask about the route in advance; groups must register.
