An aircraft spotter on a church tower, a cyclist and a cavalry officer offer different ways into the subject. Compare their equipment and the explanations of their work. This gives the broad notion of mobilisation concrete form without you needing any prior military knowledge.
From scene to overview
The doctors’ room puts a different emphasis from a military outpost. The scale model of the fighting on the Meuse then offers more of an overview. Alternate between these two ways of looking: first an individual task, then the situation in which it is placed.
Time for a guided tour
You usually visit this private museum by appointment. A guided tour leaves room to ask questions about the original equipment and the situations depicted. Say whether you are mainly interested in daily life, the equipment or the events.
