A component up close
An Apache rotor blade and a Chinook bench seat present the technology on a different scale from a complete aircraft. First look at the shape, then ask about its use. A single component can draw your attention to details you would miss from a distance.
Models and documents
Models and dioramas give an overview, while photos and documents add other information. For one subject, look for both forms of explanation. This lets you connect a technical object with the story the collection tells about the air base.
Visiting a military site
The Traditiekamer is on a military complex. Report to the main gate with valid ID and arrive well before the last admission time. Larger groups must register within a set notice period; arrange that access before you fix the rest of your visit.
Before you go
Last admission is 14:30. Groups of more than ten people must register with Defensie (the Dutch Ministry of Defence) at least five working days in advance.
