First look at the hut itself and listen to the explanation of how it was used. The limited space offers a different way into the subject from a large museum gallery. Ask which parts have been preserved and what was repaired during the restoration.
Objects in their setting
The display includes items from the war years. Take one object as your starting point and ask for an explanation of how it fits into the story of the hut. That leaves room for questions about provenance and use, alongside your first impression of the interior.
Arranging a guided visit
Groups can request a guided tour. When you do, make clear how many people are coming and what questions you have. The site is not somewhere to walk around freely; even a short viewing must fit within the access agreed for that day.
Before you go
Check the drop-in day, any weather-related changes and the route. Groups of five or more always make an appointment in advance.
