Giving attention to a sculpture
Choose a sculpture or another art object and look first at its form and decoration. Then read what it was used for or which story it depicts. This way you can approach religious art without knowing all the symbols beforehand.
A changing subject
Alongside the collection there are temporary exhibitions. De Camino has been announced until 25 October 2026 inclusive. Check the programme if you are coming for this subject, and take time to view the display alongside other museum pieces.
Looking further outside
The herb garden and the museum café offer chances to break up the route. The museum is in a partly inhabited abbey complex, but the convent itself is not open to the public. So stay on the visitor route and do not regard a museum ticket as access to all the buildings.

The convent itself is not accessible. Check public holidays and the current exhibition programme before you set off.
