Start with the differences between the front living quarters (voorhuis) and the spaces used for work. Ask how the furnishings suited daily activities. The guide can help you connect unfamiliar names for rooms with what you actually see.
Tools alongside personal belongings
Horse-drawn implements form a different part of the collection from toys and clothing. Compare which tasks or stages of life they represent. Looking at these subjects side by side gives the farm story more sides than farm work alone.
A later period too
A 1960s room adds a different period. See which change you notice yourself and ask what the display explains about it. Film, guided tour and coffee or tea together make up the visit, so allow for an appointment with enough time.
