A familiar shape
Start with a vehicle whose shape you know and see which details you had not noticed before. The interior and finish can give a different impression from a car you have only seen on the street.
Vehicle and period
Read how the museum places a model in its period. Keep the technical explanation and the wider historical context apart. A familiar car can bring back a wide range of memories, but not every memory applies to every example.
Good practical preparation
The museum is on the first floor and is not wheelchair accessible. You cannot pay by debit card. Regular opening is on Saturday afternoon; only in July and August are Wednesday and Friday added. Sundays and public holidays remain closed.
Before you go
Bring cash and allow for the upper floor. Check the limited summer extension of opening times.
