The firefighting equipment offers a different scale from the vehicles. Ask how it was used and which pieces belong to a particular way of working. This gives the collection more coherence than a row of vehicles you compare only by appearance.
Access by appointment
Group visits are arranged through the local visitor organisation. Open days may also take place during estate events, but those dates vary. Discuss the number of participants, route and accessibility in advance; an open estate event does not automatically give access to every collection.
