A domestic start
A kitchen-living room, a room with a box bed and a corner shop form familiar settings. See how the displays explain everyday use. A furnished room gives an overview, but also take time for one object that raises a specific question.
Crafts and other themes
The rear of the house covers the forge, flax processing, carpentry and the bakery, among other things. Upstairs you will find other subjects, such as archaeology, the Second World War and the sugar industry. Choose deliberately, so that the variety does not lead to a rushed tour.
Discuss access in advance
The regular Saturday afternoon is free of charge; appointments at other times have their own conditions. Wheelchair access is difficult and possible on the ground floor only with assistance and prior arrangement. So ask about a feasible route before you come.
