Learning to see the differences
Blaarkoppen, Lakenvelders and other cattle breeds are represented in the museum’s subject. Look at colour patterns and differences in appearance and ask which characteristics belong to a breed. A living heritage museum calls for a different way of looking than a room of static objects.
More than the animals
Exhibitions also cover work in the countryside and agricultural technology. This gives the encounter with the cattle a broader setting. Check the current programme if you are coming for a particular theme or activity.
From summer to barn Sunday
The regular 2026 season ends on 20 September. After that there are monthly Open Stal Zondagen (Open Barn Sundays) and separately announced activities. So a winter Sunday is not automatically a visiting day. Groups can enquire about an appointment.
