Art on the ground floor
Exhibitions by artists follow one another during the season. Check in advance which work is on show if you are coming for a specific exhibition. The pumping station offers a different setting from an ordinary gallery space.
Understanding the landscape upstairs
On the first floor, the Oer-IJ presentation covers the formation and settlement of the landscape. That subject ties in with the pumping station’s watery surroundings. On some days a guide or a short walk is available; a separate calendar applies.
A Sunday in the season
Regular opening in 2026 runs until 27 September inclusive, on Sunday afternoons. Special days may have longer hours. Groups can request an appointment outside these times; do not assume daily access to the building.

Check the exhibition calendar; after 27 September 2026 the regular Sunday timetable no longer applies.
