The bunker is more than a shell for the exhibition. Note the layout of the spaces and ask about its original use. That lets you connect the building to the information about Alkmaar in wartime.
A changing subject
Earlier presentations covered topics including the air war and people from wartime history. Check which subject is currently in focus. That way you know whether your visit will address a specific question or be mainly a first introduction.
Following a list of dates
The museum is not open every Sunday. Within the season it is mainly the second and fourth Sundays, supplemented by special days. The actual calendar therefore matters more than a general description such as weekend opening.
