Rooms as a social stage
Salon, dining room and stairs divide reception, private life and staff. Pay attention to doors and walking routes and ask who was allowed to use which room in the nineteenth century.
Ferdinand Bol and the history of the house
The painter is regarded as the first occupant, while later furnishings mainly reflect the Van Loon family. So keep the construction period, occupants and refurnished period rooms carefully apart.
From façade to coach house
The garden forms a sightline between the main house and the coach house. Compare the representative front, the green space in between and the practical rear as one urban ensemble.
