The boat trip offers a different view of the area from the museum galleries. Notice how the surroundings and the explanation of horticulture are linked. This gives the auction building a place in a bigger story.
Taking part in the auction
The auction experience lets you not only have a working method explained, but also follow it as it happens. Ask about the programme times when you arrive. The audio tour and exhibitions complement these active parts.
Do not arrive too late
About three hours is given for the full programme. Arriving shortly before closing therefore leaves little time to combine everything. Groups of ten or more book through packages; payment in the museum is by card.
