A barge on land
A slipway shows a vessel from a different angle than when it lies in the water. Ask how the hellingbok and the other facilities are used. This gives the tools a direct link with the work in the yard.
Sailing and making
The story centres on, among other things, field barges (akkerschuiten) and the waterway landscape of Oosterdel. Boat trips and demonstrations are also mentioned, but these are not automatically part of every appointment. Discuss in advance which format is available and suits your group.
Confirm the meeting point
Visitor guides use different addresses around Sluiskade and Sluisweg. So when you book, have the exact place where you need to be recorded. Also ask about the grounds and how easy they are to reach if someone in your group finds walking difficult.
