Come with a question
A street name, a building or an old photo can be a good starting point. Explain what you want to find out, so that it becomes clear which material may be relevant. A documentation centre works differently from a museum with a fixed route.
More than a filing cabinet
The society also organises exhibitions, talks and excursions and publishes on local history. These activities have their own calendar. A morning when the centre is open does not mean that a talk or guided tour is taking place at the same time.
A short morning window
The regular opening is on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in the late morning. For research outside those hours, it may be possible to make arrangements. If you have a specific question, get in touch in advance, especially if you would like particular material to be set out for you.
