What the coast leaves behind
Beachcombing finds prompt questions about origin and use. An object on the beach does not tell its story by itself. On a future visit, look at what explanation is given and what is known, or uncertain, about a find.
Art among the finds
Interactive works add a different layer from the collected beach material. The attraction presented as a ‘baby mermaid’ also belongs to the museum’s world of imagination, not to an established animal species. Keep that distinction in mind as you look.
Waiting for the new season
The announced period runs from 27 March to 5 September 2027, mainly at weekends. The holidays have extra days. Check that calendar again as soon as you choose a specific date; old hours for 2026 are not current.
