A machine in context
The large machine with its pumps is a striking centrepiece. During a demonstration, ask how the visible parts work together. Following a single movement makes a complex installation easier to understand than simply looking at its size.
After the draining
The Polderpaviljoen shifts the focus to life in the polder, so the story does not stop at the technology. Stoomlab and special programmes offer additional ways in; check which of them are available during your visit.
Summer and winter start differently
In winter the museum opens later on weekdays than in summer. Monday and the weekend also have their own opening times. Last admission is half an hour before closing, but come earlier if you want to combine different parts of the museum.
