Rooms with a character of their own
In the Coopmanshuys you will find period rooms, an office and a floating cellar. Look at the rooms as a whole and ask how the furnishings relate to their use. The cellar is a special feature for which the explanation on site is important.
Continuing in the Stadhuis
The presentation in the Stadhuis offers a second route through Edam’s history. Combine both buildings if you have enough time. They stand on the same square, but in winter they are not open at the same times.
Stairs and seasons
From November to March only the Coopmanshuys is open, at weekends; the Stadhuis is then closed. Thresholds, narrow corridors and steep stairs mean the buildings are not wheelchair accessible. Bear this in mind before planning a combined visit.
