A collection outside the galleries
During the works, the collection is in storage. This means that old descriptions of the galleries cannot be read as what is currently on offer, even though the objects still belong to the museum.
Stories remain available
Online exhibitions and education are mentioned as ongoing provision. They can make a subject from the collection accessible while an ordinary tour of the main location is not possible.
To the Statenpoort
Ontdek het verhaal van Hoorn offers a separate visit on the Nieuwstraat. The show and walking routes have their own admission and opening times and do not provide temporary access to the Roode Steen.
Before you go
Do not go to the main location for a regular museum visit. Confirm a future reopening or deliberately choose the current programme in the Statenpoort.
