With a fossil, look at the organism, the rock and the findspot. These three pieces of information reveal more than age alone and prevent a striking shape from remaining without context.
Mineral under the light
Compare crystal form, lustre and hardness in two minerals. Colour alone is often not enough for identification; ask which test or property is decisive.
Excursion into the landscape
Walking and cycling excursions link the display cases to the soil and relief outside. Experts are often present on Wednesdays, but activities follow their own calendar.
