Objects relating to scarcity, persecution or everyday life show how war changed ordinary routines. For each story, read the place, date and source before drawing broader conclusions.
Equipment with a crew
A vehicle only tells its full story together with its task and its people. For one machine, ask which unit used it, for what purpose, and how maintenance or fuel was organised.
Experience is a working method
Escape-room-style tasks can encourage teamwork and searching. During the debrief, keep a distinction between historical source, reconstructed setting and game rule.
