Writing in a home
Look at room size, light and furniture, and ask which elements date from Wolff’s time. A birthplace or former home calls for a distinction between authentic objects and fitting reconstruction.
Text as a guide
Read a short extract and look for the social relationship, place or everyday activity that becomes recognisable in the house. Do not automatically treat the novel as a factual description of the house.

From 1 April–31 October, Wednesday–Sunday 13.30–17.00; in winter Sunday only. The summer season begins a month earlier than at Beemster Museum.
