The journey from Muiden makes distance and location tangible. During the crossing, look at the view of the waterways and ask why this particular position was militarily important.

The pavilion and energy projects give the site a contemporary use. Distinguish between the historic fort, nature management and new sustainable installations.

In season Tuesday–Sunday 10.30–17.30, closed on Monday; in winter closed during the day. Book ferry and island together and check the return crossing.
