Look at the gate, towers and courtyard before you go into the halls. Ask which parts of the building date from the Middle Ages and which were reinstated during restorations.

Gardens for use
Herbs, fruit and the plum orchard show food and estate management alongside display of status. Compare a garden’s function with an indoor room such as the kitchen or dining hall.

Winter Tuesday–Sunday 10.00–17.00, summer daily. Open on all public holidays; New Year’s Day from 12.00, and activities may carry a surcharge.
