The permanent display links water management and the landscape. Use the panels to understand the surroundings better, then see how the mill is placed within them. This keeps the technology tied to a specific place.
The village gets attention too
Village history and objects such as a West Frisian cap put a different emphasis from the polder technology. Temporary exhibitions may add further subjects. Check the calendar if you are coming for a particular theme.
Two kinds of accessibility
The Molenhuijs has a ramp, but the mill itself is not wheelchair accessible. There is no accessible toilet. The regular opportunity to visit is on Sundays in season; groups can request other times. Check the current season dates before you set off.
