The voice beside the image
For a journalist, sound is an important part of the work. Where possible, combine listening with looking at photographs and written material. That gives a different introduction from just an overview of moments in a career.
Personal belongings and paper
Newspaper scrapbooks and personal effects offer different kinds of information. Ask what background is known about an object and how it is linked to his journalistic work. This gives the exhibition a subject of its own within the mill site.
Follow the mill season
The exhibition follows the weekend opening of Molen De Hoop during the season. A visit to the mill or a café break can be combined with it, but check which parts are open. Groups of more than ten people can request an appointment for another day.
