Looking at the house itself
The modest space invites you to pay attention to its construction and layout. The contrast with the larger protective shelter is striking. Ask how the museum links the history of the house with its famous visitor.
Traces of later interest
Portraits and other objects add extra layers to the story. Carved names also show that the house attracted interest later on. Read carefully which attribution the explanation gives, rather than linking every name to a person yourself.
Access is not the same everywhere
The space around the house is easier to reach than the little wooden house itself. Wheelchairs and rollators cannot go inside everywhere. Check the route in advance if this matters for your visit; payment is by debit card or credit card.
