‘Schatten uit Blokzijls verleden’ brings together objects from bequests and donations. For each piece, ask whether its use, its owner or its collecting history mainly shapes the museum’s story.
The fire of 1926
A scale model helps you understand the Kerkstraat fire spatially. First look at the buildings and the distances between them, then read how the fire and the firefighting moved through the street.
Before you go
The museum only opens regularly in the summer season and is closed on Sundays. Groups can book all year round; event days have longer hours.
