The film of about 25 minutes introduces the clog and the family business. Note one step in the production process and then find it again at the machines along the route.
Machines then and now
Compare how an old and a modern machine hold, shape and hollow out the wood. Notice what was automated and where skilled control was still needed.
Hand tools at the end
Knives and other hand tools make small corrections visible. At a demonstration, ask which operation a machine cannot carry out neatly enough.
Before you go
The working day includes a midday closure. The season, public holidays and holiday periods can change the schedule; group demonstrations are for 20–50 people by appointment. Ask in advance whether production is running that day.
