Workbench, clamps, saws and planes show labour-intensive custom work. Follow one joint from marking out to fitting and see which tools safeguarded accuracy.

A folder of architectural drawings that was found is kept in the showroom. Compare a drawn detail with furniture-making or building practice and ask what was actually carried out.
Old beside a working business
The modern furniture workshop next door makes technical change visible. Business hours do not, however, automatically mean free access to the museum; say on arrival what you have come for.
