The nursery describes bee colonies in different kinds of housing, including a hollow tree trunk and beehives. Compare the shapes and ask why a beekeeper chooses a particular type. Housing bees is thus a subject in its own right.
A hive for a better view
A demonstration hive is part of the described offering. Ask how you can view it without disturbing the bees. Following one part closely gives you more of a grip than trying to understand every movement at once.
The Bijoscoop
Educational films cover topics from the world of bees. Use such a film to carry a question from outside back in with you. The farm shop and tea garden are other parts of the same nursery; their opening hours do not have to match at every moment.
