What is on the counter?
The presentation includes shop goods and products from the 1950s. Look at how packaging and objects are grouped. Which items do you still recognise, and which need explanation? In this way, different generations can look at the same little shop in different ways.
Fabric, linen and caps
Knipmutsen (traditional lace caps) and rolled linen are part of the collection described. Here the focus lies less on selling and more on material and care. For a particular detail, ask why it was folded, made or kept in that way.
The shoemaker at work
The Philippi shoemaker’s workshop is also mentioned. Tools make a trade tangible, but their function is not always immediately clear. Pick out one object and ask what action was carried out with it before you move on to the next.
