From action to machine
Start with a machine whose function you do not know. Which parts move, and where does the product go in or come out? The museum’s explanations help you connect a large machine with a very specific step in the making.
Watching with sound and pictures
An audio tour with films is part of what is described. Pictures can clarify an action that is hard to make out from a stationary object. Afterwards, compare once more what you recognise on the machine itself.
A bread roll in the holidays
During school holidays, guided tours and baking demonstrations are described in which children can sometimes help. Ask about the programme for the day you choose. These hands-on activities supplement the collection and are not automatically available whenever the museum is open.
Before you go
The 2026 season runs from 7 April to 24 October inclusive; the museum is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
