A room with a purpose
Look at how the room is furnished and ask which elements belong to its former use. A table or a seat can tell you something about how people used a room, but the explanation makes clear what has actually survived.
A changing exhibition
The Oudheidkamer works with temporary exhibitions. This means the subject may be different on your next visit. Ask in advance what is currently on show if you are coming for textiles, local photos or a particular village story, for example.
Walking into the village
Village walks are also organised. A subject from the exhibition can be continued outdoors: where did a building stand, and what do you see there now? Ask about availability and arrangements; a walk is a separate part of the visit.

Guided tours outside opening hours are by appointment. Check the closure during the Triathlon Holten.
